Also known as 'solo' care, these homes are now the first step in our continuum of care, specifically developed for young people with more intense and individual needs. We currently have over twenty of these homes, predominately in the North West of England. On admission all young people receive a 28 day assessment which determines their individualised care plan and specific therapeutic needs.

These homes specialise in working with young people who may have had a range of experiences including:

– Extreme and challenging behaviour including fire starting, substance and alcohol abuse, mental health issues and sexualised behaviour.
– A need for a therapeutic alternative to secure accommodation.
– Multiple placement breakdowns.
– Problems with integration and social interaction.
– Attachment disorder.
– Physical and/or emotional abuse.
– Moderate learning difficulties.

All of our complex needs homes are Department of Education registered schools and each young person receives individual home–based tuition until a time when they are ready to enter a more formal school environment.

All placements include electronic reporting via the outcomes based monitioring system – the House of Resilience TM.
