WISBECH SCHOOL

Continuum School Wisbech is an independent school which opened its doors for the first time in September 2008 after moving from its previous place of residence known as 'The Bridge School' which had been open for 3 years. The school caters for young people from the ages of 9 to 17 years within a fit for purpose building. The young people have many facilities available to them with a new ICT suite, a common room, separate toilet facilities and new classrooms incorporating our Hair & Beauty and Vocational areas. The school is registered as an exam centre and also as a BTEC centre.

The school's town centre location enables pupils to access a wide range of additional facilities which include a swimming pool, golf centre, sports centre & local gym. It also has close links with the local cricket club which enables young people to use their facilities on a daily basis.

One of the strengths of this school is the introduction of the vocational route for our 14–17 year olds.  The school is currently delivering BTEC Skills for Life and Sports and are able to offer a full range of BTEC Certificates and First Diplomas.  Links into the local Connexions service are also strong and offer young people careers advice, work experience and employment opportunities once they leave this school.

Young people may enter the school at any stage during the academic year.  Wisbech school provides a broad and balanced curriculum, which caters for young people of all backgrounds and abilities, including those with special educational needs.  Vocational training and physical activities are offered in addition to the requirements of the National Curriculum.

In line with the school’s ethos of respect and responsibility, behavioural boundaries are explicit within a culture of positive behaviour management.
